Jason Scholtz: The mind behind the Midway Two SAPS Mechanics Training Programme

Jason Scholtz is endlessly passionate about skills development in South Africa, doing everything in his power to provide those with potential the chance to enhance their abilities and learn more about their chosen craft. It is because of this goal that Jason Scholtz created the Midway Two SAPS Mechanics Training Programme.

The idea for this programme originally came about after Jason Scholtz realised that there were already many existing skills within the underprivileged communities in South Africa, especially in terms of the youth. These young people love to learn but simply don’t have the means to do so. Knowing this, Jason Scholtz sought to remedy the problem and offer street children training that could change their lives. Ultimately, if one possesses a valuable skill, it is easier to find a job, make ends meet and provide for your family. Without skills, finding jobs is practically impossible, regardless of how willing you are to learn and grow.

The Midway Two SAPS Mechanics Training Programme focused on teaching the South African youth the ins and outs of mechanics, providing them with tuition that is both theoretical and practical in nature. Jason Scholtz is incredibly proud of his investment in the talents of these young people, and has no doubt that they will go on to become valuable members of society with respectable jobs and the opportunity to make something of their lives.
